Guidelight Business Solutions to rapid-build Portal Server for Ciber
June 22, 2003 Guidelight Business Solutions has been selected by Ciber, the large international consulting firm, to build a Portal Server. The criteria that led Ciber to select Guidelight Business Solutions were technical expertise and the ability to develop solutions quickly and under tight deadline pressures. Guidelight Business Solutions, known for being comprised of veteran industry experts, is one of only a handful of firms that could provide this level service.
Using their Beacon Methodology, Guidelight is to develop an industry-compliant Java-based portal server that works with IBM WebSphere. The solution will function as a centerpiece to tie together several enterprise enablement applications Ciber is building for an undisclosed client. “We have a high profile part of a large contract with a state government agency that has to be done throughly and quickly. Guidelight is the perfect firm to step in and fulfill this assignment,” remarked Ciber’s Chief Architect.
High level strategic planning was being done during contract negotiations and a team has already been earmarked to start in early July. “We will hit the ground running,” remarked George B. Stevens, president of Guidelight Business Solutions. “Our teams are seasoned veterans and know how to follow rapid application development best practices as outlined in Guidelight’s very successful Beacon Methodology.”
