Microsoft .Net Web Developer


Overview

This position will be responsible for contributing to project teams in requirement gathering, design and development of complex applications/programs. Candidate must have 3 years of web development experience in a Microsoft evironment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design and develop Web based applications to support client business needs
  • Support existing internal and external facing applications
  • Support development staff with development and enhancement of web applications
  • Ensure that all code retains logical stability, reliability, confidentiality and integrity
  • Create and execute feature test cases and ensure feature testing effectively validates that systems meet the functional and non-functional requirements
  • Meet with clients, systems owners and end users to define business, financial and operations requirements and systems goals as well as to identify and resolve systems issues
  • Stay current with industry changes and drive innovation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration, computer science or MIS
  • 3+ years development experience in fast-paced agile environment
  • 3+ years ASP.Net, C# and VB.Net
  • 3+ SQL Server experience (2005 a plus) including design, TSQL and performance tuning
  • Proven knowledge and development of the Web and Web 2.0 technologies including Web Services, Ajax, RSS, CSS, XML/XSLT and JavaScript
  • Previous experience implementing and customizing a CMS or WCMS system a plus
  • Experience in working in environments where software applications are being built from scratch (concept to deployment)
  • Experience with integrating custom applications with existing applications and third-party software
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills; capacity to manage multiple, conflicting priorities and tasks, able to work with cross-functional teams and communicate with all levels of management
  • Able to work well in a fast-paced environment, have a positive attitude and adapt readily to change, as well as prioritize, manage and complete multiple projects under tight deadlines
